Alex founded Sand Aire in 1996, having led the sale of Provincial Insurance and Exeter Bank in 1994. He leads the client relationship team and is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the business.

Alex is a non-executive director of his family’s investment holding company and several private companies. He is also the founding chairman of directors of the Institute for Family Business (UK) and former director of the Family Firm Institute Inc.
